I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at National Geographic Society (Washington, DC)
Interview
15 minute screening via phone with human resources and then one hour video interview with hiring manager. reviewed responsibilities of my current job, overview of open position, and then asked highly specific hypotheticals that would only be answerable with inside knowledge of the company. opened up for questions afterwards.

Question 1
What would you do if your team didn't meet a deadline?
Unfortunately, I have to agree with several others that they are very unprofessional. After completing the lengthy interview process, I was completed ghosted. I even followed up and never got a response. The process was as follows: Initial phone screening with HR, followed by a virtual interview with hiring manager, a virtual panel interview and finally an in-person interview.
Fairly straightforward interview process. HR contacted me and had a couple of interviews before the process transitioned to executive level interviews.
Everybody was very pleasant and professional, and many of them believed in the core values of the company and saw how they could evolve them for the future.

Asked about experience on previous projects and people managing style.
Wanted to get a sense of the scope of the projects I previously worked on, and what kind of challenges I personally faced and how I resolved them.
