I applied in-person. I interviewed at National Citizens Advice (Rotherham, England) in Feb 2024
Interview
For an Admin Volunteer role at Citizens Advice, the interviewers are not expecting perfection. They are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, professional and respectful. From the way you are thinking about vulnerable clients and procedures, you are already demonstrating the qualities they value.
They asked questions you wouldn't expect, which caught me off guard. There are quite a few questions to go through and it takes about an hour. They were mainly behavioural and tried to get a sense of who you were as a person to see if you aligned with them, instead of talking about your past experiences.
