I applied online. I interviewed at Narmi in May 2026
Interview
The process included a recruiter screen, a peer interview with a senior designer, and a final 30-minute conversation with a co-president. The interviews themselves were substantive and the people were sharp. At the end of the final round, the co-president stated I would hear back "this week" and provided a direct email for follow-up.
I never heard back. The stated timeline passed with no communication. A polite check-in to the recruiter went unanswered. A follow-up to the co-president, using the email he had offered, also went unanswered. As of several weeks later, there has been no response of any kind, not even a form rejection.
The conversations gave me a positive impression of the team's thinking, which made the complete lack of follow-through more surprising. For a senior-level process that ran multiple weeks, the absence of basic closure was unprofessional and reflects poorly on how the company treats candidates it has invested significant time in.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would people who don't know you describe you? And how would close colleagues or friends describe you?
First an initial phone screen, then a technical coding interview that was just basic data manipulation, then a hiring manager interview with behavioral questions, then a panel interview with two non-engineering team members with more behavioral questions and how you interact with customers.
I wish I NEVER interviewed here. These guys ghosted me after an onsite for a few weeks until I had to push them to get an answer and it was a very soft “went a very different direction despite overwhelmingly positive feedback”
If you can’t make up your mind don’t lead people on! Yes, I am bitter
I should also mention the recruiter was extremely unresponsive and I go stood up for an interview and had to go out of my way to reschedule it. Unprofessional much?
