I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Namics in Jan 2019
Interview
First they call you in for a HR talk, next is technical interview with two seniors and third step is what they call an expiriance day where you come in for whole day at the office. During this time you have whole day planned meetings with people from different departments and with a boss who is talking about the company overall. In the end of the day they give you some task, leave you for like an hour or so and you have to come up with the solution and then present it to all people you interacted with that day + some online. This sums up to around 10 people in crowded room that are challanging your solution and grilling you in general.
After which they will vote and they all have to "like you" in order for you to get a job.
In my case it happened that althought I passed technical interview they have decided that I don't have enought technical knowledge althouth I have clearly presented my abilities from the first interview/cover letter (I've been opened that I haven't work with that technology), they suddenly decided that they are seeking for someone with that knowledge.
Seemed to me like communication was bad between HR/senior developers and management. This voting is totaly political and can end up in you vasting a lot of time in a slow process and this whole working day at their offices lost.
Dear candidate,
thanks for your open feedback concerning your application process. I'm sorry that it came out quite late / too late in the process that your knowledge is not corresponding to our needs. In an ideal world, we should have known it before inviting you to our assessment and to our experience day. For us, it's a learning and we will work on it.
All the best for your future,
Judith
