      Intern Interview

      20 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NYSL Promotions in May 2015

      Interview

I got a phone phone interview one day after I applied for an intern position. At first I missed the call, but I called back with no response. I went to class afterwards and missed around 5 phone calls from them. I thought it was a little weird, but I ended up talking to one lady at the end of the day. She seemed really nice, but never called back afterwards even though she said she would. It never really bothered me though since the reviews here for this company isn't the best anyways.

NYSL Promotions partners with many fortune 500 companies and we have never asked any of our employees to purchase items and then resell them. That is the true essences of a pyramid scheme. We operate both legally and ethically within the New Jersey state labor laws. We do apologize our career opportunities did not align with your professional goals.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NYSL Promotions (Fairfield, NJ) in May 2018

      Interview

Simple straight forward, however didn't reveal too much about their day-day. Was told salary and details would be revealed in second round interview. Got a general vibe that seemed almost like a pyramid scheme with training and presentations going on in the morning and then door-to-door sales in the afternoon.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NYSL Promotions (Fairfield, NJ) in May 2018

      Interview

Briefly talked to someone on the phone and was then offered an in-person interview. Since it was the first in-person one, the questions were mostly behavioral based and seemed like they were trying to get a sense of my work ethic. However, the interview was vague about day to day work and salary. Alluded that most of the pay would be commission based and I'd be working until 6/7 every day including Saturdays. Seemed like they were trying to get free work and I left with a weird gut feeling. Definitely a pyramid scheme.
