I applied online. I interviewed at NYC Administration for Children's Services (Bronx, NY) in Mar 2021
Interview
Interview was conducted remotely (2021). They read from a script and stick to it, so there is not much nuance to the conversation. I found that the interviewers were too robotic and it just made the whole interview process awkward.

Question 1
In past jobs, what did you do if a supervisor asked you to do something inappropriate?
I applied through other source. I interviewed at NYC Administration for Children's Services (New York, NY) in Oct 2022
Interview
The ACS-CPS interview process was professional, structured, and scenario-based. The questions focused on child safety, risk assessment, crisis response, family engagement, documentation, and working under pressure. The interviewers wanted to understand how I would make decisions in complex situations while remaining calm, objective, and trauma-informed. Overall, the process was fair and gave a realistic sense of the role’s responsibilities and expectations.

Question 1
Tell us about a time you had to make a difficult decision. What was your process?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NYC Administration for Children's Services in Aug 2017
Interview
The interview is very straight to the point. It is not a conversational interview. The interviewers are CPS Supervisors. They read the questions out of a book and write down your answers. The questions are all in the format of "Tell me about a time when....." and they require answers in the STAR format.
