Interview
There's an initial pre-screening questionnaire when you fill out the application on Taleo. If that looks good, as well as what's in your CV, you'll get an invitation to a HireVue video interview. This interview consists of several questions with 3 minutes allotted for you to record an answer to them. If that goes well, you will be invited to an on-site interview which consists of 2 parts: a written assessment and a potential interview before a selection board. Only if you pass the written assessment will you be invited for an interview before the selection board later that same day or the day after. After that, you will get notified by the selection board whether or not an offer is being made. I would caution candidates coming from North America that it's at least a 4 day investment in time off from work to travel, interview and return. You will get reimbursed (to NATO limits) for expenses, but you won't get the time back. It seems logical that local candidates (including North Americans who are already there) would be preferred as they could start ASAP; if you're outside the organization, it could be months before you're able to start. Just consider that.
