I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2020
Interview
It was only behavior interviews. Looking for the typical STAR question. No technical aspect to the interview process. The questions were the same that you usually get in any typical interview

Question 1
Tell us about a difficult situation that you have encountered and how you resolved it.
The interview process was made up of one behavioral interview over the phone with my supervisor. It was simple and low pressure, no technical questions were asked of me at all.
My interviewer (who ended up being my manager) was super friendly, we chatted about past experience and interests, had probably 3 calls in total but nothing super technical. Got the internship offer a few weeks later.
