I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at N26 (Berlin) in Feb 2020
Interview
I didn't actually apply for this position, but had a recruiter reach out and I agreed to have an initial phone call to learn more. The tech stack didn't really align with my skills and experience but was willing to learn if they were willing to take me on. After a half-day interview with multiple people the recruiter called and said its good news, and he can "discuss the offer on Monday." I was ecstatic. However, after a long series of emails of him continuing to lead me on, and another interview for a better suited position, I was ultimately rejected. The process was not transparent and I felt I was being dragged along with false promises rather than simply being honest. It was one of the stranger experiences I've had with recruiters and definitely made me feel the company was not organized, nor cared about their employees.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at N26 (Barcelona) in Apr 2025
Interview
I received a candidate pack that outlined all the interviews. Overall, they’re quite straightforward, just make sure to study LeetCode and system design. That said, don’t underestimate the final behavioral interview. You’ll be under pressure, so it’s important to prepare thoroughly.
I managed to complete the entire interview process and received positive feedback along the way, but I was ultimately rejected in the final stage.
