      Interview

Not structured and lack of expertise. Interviewer was casual and they made me wait for 2 hours. They are not serious. Not matured and thinks he know it all. Work environment not good.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Myntra (Bengaluru) in Mar 2018

      Interview

Round 1: Telephonic interview Extreme mismatch of the experience level between interviewer and interviewee. There is a difference of 8 years industry relevant experience between myself and interviewer. After programming in the mobile industry for a decade in almost all kinds of levels (Trainee programmer - TechnicalLead), I have learnt and also seen programmers evolving in terms of approaching a problem differently at different levels. Question asked by the interviewer: How would you cache the same network API calls originating from multiple locations in the app? Good quality question, though better applicable for programmers falling in the experience range of 2 - 5 years. Almost all good apps will have networking feature, and successful ones will definitely have a well written and robust networking module. My resume is filled with projects that are some of the best ones in the app store, in fact, one among them is the winner of Apple Design Award. Not to mention, I released my first solo developer project Jungly Jump on Apple AppStore, in partnership with a California company in 2010. The interviewer at this point would have been in High school ;) Round 2: F2F interview part -1 I'm really impressed by the kind of questions asked by the interviewer. I felt very positive the way interviewer considered my profile. Absolutely on target questions asked which will reveal candidate's knowledge about OOD topic. This kind of questions/conversations make the interviews more meaningful :) Round 3: F2F interview part -2 It is this particular round that really put me off during the whole interview process. The interviewer at the beginning informed me that he would be assessing my knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms. Questions asked: How would you convert a Polish Notation to an array? I have repeatedly asked the interviewer to please clarify me the question with an example usage, but he was adamant to even listen to my explanation. I tried answering the question in all the possible ways I know and in fact many times I've asked the interviewer to correct me if I'm not understanding the question. After a certain point, I could conclude that the interviewers limited knowledge on the topic. I have also taken Technical interviews for my previous organisations, but not like this, he could have changed the question or asked me next one. Only one question was asked: How would you convert a Polish Notation to an array? Senior/Experienced programmers would instead use the word collection rather than an array. This clearly shows the amateur skill set of the interviewer. The question is also vague to me in terms of the intent expected. I feel the interviewers should begin the process with an Open mindset and not rather a preoccupied perspective, which is not a correct thing. For some reason, he made a disgusting facial expression and interrupted me, when I was answering the classic question of "Introduce yourself."

      Technical Lead Interview

      1 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Myntra in Jan 2018

      Interview

Interview had about 5 rounds(1 telephonic technical+ 4 technical F2F) 1. Telephonic - Technical Interview 2. F2F - 4 rounds F2F 1st round- Algorithm and DS 2nd round - High level design round 3rd round - LLD and iOS 4th round- Android and few web questions Overall, the interview process was very good, I felt like it was more of a brainstorming sessions than a typical interviews. Energetic work environment and so are people inside. They are technically very sound people You feel comfortable enough as they really treat you with great respect. I personally got to learn lot of things during those discussions and personally liked the interview process. Though I did not hear any feedback after my interview, I still feel that it was a very good experience, Atleast it helps to get to know where you stand and improve yourself on weak areas. This stringent selection process definitely helps right people to be at right place thus helping both company and a candidate
