⭐️ Interview Review – Professional Team, but Poor Follow-Up and Communication
I recently interviewed for a Customer Success Manager position after an initial phone conversation with the HR team, followed by an onsite interview. Before going, I reviewed several Glassdoor posts and, while some feedback concerned me, I decided to keep an open mind. The opportunity to learn a new industry and work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment was appealing.
During the onsite interview, I met with several team members who were professional, transparent, and clear about the company’s expectations around attention to detail, accountability, and business acumen. Their honesty gave me a realistic sense of the culture, which matched much of what I had read online. It’s clear that the company moves quickly and sets high standards, which can be challenging but rewarding for the right person.
I left the interview genuinely excited about the opportunity and was told I would receive an update within the same week. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up, even after several weeks. While I understand hiring processes can take time, a simple update or acknowledgment would have demonstrated professionalism and respect for the candidate’s effort. For a company that values precision and communication, I hope they apply the same standards to their interview process. A simple update ( just to close the loop) goes a long way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
• “Why do I want to switch industries?”
• “Are you a puzzle person?”
Met with several people during one interview. I was there for a while. I could appreciate not having me come back to interview multiple times, but wish I knew ahead of time how long this process could be.
