Got contacted on LinkedIn, went through a screening phone interview, and decided to join the recruitment process. Everything was in Portuguese.
Next, interview with a tech rectuiter: first, they introduced the company to me, what's their business and how they work, and then I talked about my experiences, what led me to be there and what I expected working there. Very pleasant interview.
Then they sent me a form where I had to rate my skills from 1 to 5 in some technologies and practices, and also to detail my epxeriences with them. I liked this type of skill assessment a lot, it was much more straightforward than taking a home challenge and wasting a whole week worth of mine and their time.
Then I had an interview with 2 engineers and a manager (if I'm not mistaken), where they went through the form I submitted and kind of asked me again what's my experiences with each of the things mentioned in the form, and to explain more what I know about them. Examples are "Microservices", "Concurrent Programming", etc.
I didn't like this interview that much. I didn't had the opportunity to ask questions (they told me that interview was more guided towards they getting to know me), even that I have said in the screening interview that I decided to join the process under the condition that I would get to know more of the engineering of the company. I also felt they didn't want to be there and were just following a script, but this might be just my impression though.
Apparently the next step was a Systems Design interview, but they told me they liked me and decided to skip this one and to jump straight to the final interview with a tech manager.
Before having this last interview I concluded It was not the opportunity I'm looking for right now, and decided to leave the hiring process and to pursue other opportunities.
