Initial screening with HR, was fine and friendly. Was asked to do an exercise and to book in a second interview with a Director for the following week. Sent the exercise back the day before the second interview and was told via email that the exercise performed was good enough and thus the second interview was now cancelled. A waste of candidates time to schedule a conditional interview and not communicate this to them. I turned down a shift at a second job due to the interview so to be told last minute via email seemed very rude and unprofessional. At the very least a phone call would have been appreciated.
