It was 3 parts: Internal Recruiter (Zoom), CEO/CFO (in-person), and then a Managing Partner (Zoom).
Everything was okay until one of the interviewers asked how much I currently made. It made me uncomfortable but I answered honestly and the interviewer made snide comments that I wasn't making a lot. After sharing my experience with someone else, they told me it's actually illegal for interviewers to ask for current salaries in NY.
I followed up with the recruiter on the status (twice). I got feedback after a month and they decided to pause hiring for the position.
