I was contacted by the recruiter from the Houston office after I applied for a position online for their DC office. We confirmed an interview time and she confirmed I was to meet with two attorneys (she gave their names). She contacted me a second time to fill out a candidate information form which was weird because that was part of the application. She also asked me to confirm vaccination status (fine). I filled the form out, returned the form, and confirmed my vaccination status. She confirmed receipt of the form and vaccination info, but said one attorney had a conflict so my virtual video interview would be a telephone one (FINE!). 10 minutes before my interview time, I logged on the conference call and when my interview time came and went, I emailed her saying I was on the call, but nobody else is on the call. She then logged into the call very apologetically saying that the attorneys had a conflict and could no longer get on the call. She seemed stressed, and admitted she was unprepared to interview me. She frantically asked one question seemingly off the top of her head and admitted that she didn’t know what else to ask me because she wasn’t an attorney. She apologized the entire time, but asked no other questions. Still, I sent a thank you note and received no response from her nor an apology from the attorneys from standing me up. I have never been disrespected in this fashion EVER. I will never apply for this firm nor encourage anyone else to apply for this firm again.
