I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MoreYellow (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
The recruiter reached out via email. It seemed like the interview went extremely well and after a few email exchanges after the interview, I was supposed to hear back regarding next steps. I followed up and didn't hear back. I would've appreciated a simple response that they decided to move on with another candidate.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and where do you see yourself in 5 years.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MoreYellow
Interview
Was contacted via LinkedIn for a Directer-level role. After discussion, we determined that a lower-level role would be a better starting point, which I agreed with.
The interview was pleasant and standard, asking about previous management experience and communication style. With no guidance on their expectations, I gave a salary range that I found to be reasonable, if not a bit modest compared to my previous roles.
After following up on the job, I was told by the Director of People & Culture that the VP of Talent felt they "needed someone with more experience, especially given your salary range".
She then suggested I get my foot in the door by starting with a minimum-wage internship role in acquisitions.
With years of agency-level marketing experience and hands-on influencer work, I found this to be quite tone-deaf. LinkedIn shows that other Account Managers were recent grads with little more than a few internships as previous experience.
Be mindful of your worth when applying to MoreYellow.

Great interview process, talked with several people within the organization to get a feel for the team and what I would be doing. Interview was very conversational and easy flowing.
