Interview
Had an interview for a position I recently applied for. It went really well and I was informed about the next steps (another virtual interview, then on-site interview) and would hear back within three business days about the next interview. I never heard anything again, and the company won’t communicate at all, even when I asked for any feedback (positive or negative). Not a good way to attract people to your company.
The typical process is an in-depth phone interview by a recruiter who has been with the company for over 15 years and loves working here. After passing that interview view you are typically brought on site for a number of panel interviews. Most interviewers are provided with your responses to the phone interview and many of the questions will be directly related to your responses and resume. The good news is that if you have made it this far, you are typically viewed as “technically competent” the remaining questions are “will you be a good fit for the team and the company?” Make sure you review the company values. Also, don’t exaggerate your experience on your resume or the phone interview. The past few interviews I’ve had folks sneak through the telephone screening by rating themselves as a “9 or 10” in a specific area but when I asked entry level, basic question in those areas they couldn’t give the correct response.
