hr call, another call with management, home task application (which obviously always takes time), tech interview, the outsource recruiter said they liked me. Then they asked me for documents I also had call with team and management, then waiting 2 weeks And after all the time (!!!) that they took from me - recruiter just said that they stopped hiring. The most unprofessional hiring flow I ever faced. Don't recommend unless you want to waist your time for nothing

Interview
Roughly 2 rounds of interviews. One with only one person and the other with a group.
It looks like they do batch interviews. The interview is pretty straightforward and standard
I applied online. I interviewed at Moody's in Dec 2024
Interview
I interviewed for a Software Engineer position, but was informed during the process that the role was too junior for my level of experience. I was encouraged to apply for a more senior position instead. To ensure the new role was appropriate, I confirmed with the recruiter twice that it aligned with my experience and was assured both times that it did.
I proceeded to interview for the senior position, including completing a 90-minute coding exercise. After several days of following up for feedback, I was told they were looking for someone even more senior.
Being told I was simultaneously too junior for one role and too senior for another was a confusing and frustrating experience. It raised questions about Moody's clarity around job requirements and internal communication. Ultimately, this process felt like a preventable waste of time and effort, as clearer expectations could have been communicated earlier.

Question 1
Coding question around building a REST API. I won't go into the details for obvious reasons, but I would say that this would be better as a take home exercise instead of a live API that needs to make call over the Internet.
