There were 4 interviews in total and a business case. Long process, but a very interesting one.
1. The first call was with HR. The recruiter was very nice, explained the role, made some basic questions about my experience and motivation. Why Moody’s, the role, etc.
2. From there I was send a case study, where I had to analyze from the ESG perspective a company given by Moody’s. No feedback was given to that, but I followed the same structure Moody’s, s&p and Fitch usually share in their websites. I also made a short Peer analysis. Even that they said that only 2 hours should be taken for that, it took me like 6 or a bit more.
3. Interview with the Hiring manager:explained the role and asked about the CV, motivation, Asked me to give an explaining of how to make a ESG analysis about a company or sector.
4. Interview with the VE Director/VP: Once again CV, motivation, Sustainability experience, questions about the motivation of taking a vast training once starting the role. Asked me about my dissertation (which was ESG oriented). Also explained about the role and ESG division.
5. Final interview with the Moody’s VP for sustainability: CV, motivation, make an ESG analysis of a sector. I was also asked if I had to give bad news, or not expected news to a clients. Client management experience. This interview was more STAR oriented, the previous ones, no.
All the process was smooth and interesting. All the interviewers were veryyy nice, smiley, respectful and made me feel comfortable.
My only negative feedback is that they took more than a month for them to let me know that I wasn’t the one. Even that I emailed and called several times, the recruiter was very polite saying that no feedback was given so far. When they finally called me, the feedback was not very specific, which was a shame.
