      Interview

It was a good experience with the whole process involving AI. They let you choose you available dates which I really liked and haven’t seen before .The recruiters were also prompt. Unfortunately could not make it.

      HR Interview

      18 Nov 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vilnius
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Moody's (Vilnius) in Oct 2019

      Interview

I sent an application and was contacted by a recruiter about a month after via phone. What initially bothered me was that she insisted on me telling her what was my salary expectation during the 1st minute of the call, which seemed quite strange: it left me with an impression that they were just looking for someone "cheap enough", nevermind the person's experience. I wasn't asked any interview questions, just whether I was still interested in the job. This was an entry level position, but anyway, it left me with a very dubious first impression. Then, I had an on-site interview. The interviewer at the beginning was pretty decent (regular behavioral and experience-based questions), but then it became quite odd. Although the position I applied for was full-time, I was suddenly asked if I'd consider a 1 or 2 year contract. Then, the comment that "they were expanding and some more positions would open up, even if this one is eventually filled, I still had a chance". I couldn't help but think to myself that the position either was not real or someone had already been hired. It just seemed strange and a bit disrespectful (I travelled 300 km just for the interview). Then, at the very end of the interview (just after the salary discussion - what a coincidence!) I was told that the position impllied rotating shifts and irregular working hours, changing every 3 weeks. Had this been mentioned in the job description, I wouldn't have even applied for the job. In the end, I was offered the position, but declined. The main reasons were the ones listed above, the salary which was lower than I'd indicated and the fact that they couldn't really tell me anything concrete about career progression/ learning opportunities (all I got were pretty vague statements about quick expansion and that the opportunities will "arise"). Overall, I'd probably have considered it as my 1st job but, given that I already have a few years of HR experience, it definitely wasn't worth it.
