      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mixlab

      Interview

The interview process started out very strong. I received prompt responses, great communication, and moved through all three rounds with the hiring team quickly. I was told I would receive an update by Friday, but Monday and Tuesday came and went without any communication. Finally received an answer on Wednesday. After reaching out for feedback, I was unfortunately ghosted by most of the hiring team. Only one team member responded, and her feedback was thoughtful, honest, and exactly what I was hoping to receive. I truly appreciated her professionalism. My biggest takeaway was the inconsistency in communication. Based on my experience, it seems the company could benefit from improving its hiring process by setting realistic timelines and ensuring candidates receive timely follow-up, even if the decision is not in their favor. Clear communication leaves a lasting impression and reflects well on an organization.

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself and why mixlab.
      Answer question

The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mixlab

      Interview

A very long, disorganized and unprofessional interview process. Was ongoing for months with little to no communication in between being interviewed by at least 6 people and jumping through hoops. Also, did not speak to HR once so in the back of my mind was wondering how serious the search to fill the position really was. A few of the interviewers made comments that came off as questioning if I was qualified for the role. The job required 1-2 years of outside sales experience, vetmed experience a plus, and openness to grow the territory with extensive traveling, which I very much surpassed and accepted. Not sure if they need to update the job requirement or if this is a tactical move? Why bother having all the interviews if you don’t think I have a history of proven success to do the job? After the process, the word I would use to describe the company culture is arrogant. Was really taken aback by the excuses for the lapse in interviews being that they were “crazy busy”. Everyone especially during Covid in the vetmed world is busy… and for being so cocky about the services they provide and how lucrative the position could be, not a single person could speak to a sales goal or strategy or where they wanted to be next year or 5 years from now. The company provides a great service and I think was built on good intention and innovation for an antiquated industry, so it was disappointing to see how disconnected some of the interviewers were. Definitely would not recommend anyone in the field to apply.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your interview experience. We value the time that candidates spend with us when considering a role at Mixlab. While the interview process can be time consuming, rest assured if you were that far along, that means that you impressed along the way and were perhaps a leading contender for the position. Unfortunately aligning schedules with multiple executives working remotely can come with its challenges, but we continue to evolve and get better as we grow. Feel free to write the hiring manager or recruiter directly who would welcome the opportunity to provide you with more specific feedback. Thank you again for your time, and for this feedback. We greatly appreciate it.
