I applied online. I interviewed at Minnesota Reading Corps
Interview
The interview process was quick. Applied online and got screened for 30 mins two days later. I was told I passed and would hear about placements the following week and didn’t. I let it wait out but decided to contact the recruiter myself, as two weeks since the expected placement date was soon. I called the same recruiter i had interviewed with and they had NO IDEA who I was and claimed there was no record of my 30 minute screening. Obviously this is not something that happened in my head?! We went on talking and they told me they would call me back promptly after calling my placement school for an interview. It has obviously not happened. I’ve heard so many good things about the corps but is this what they represent as an organization? Disappointed and actually surprised that I was treated like this at such an organization.

Interview
First I applied online. Then I had a phone interview where they asked pretty basic questions about who you are, your values, and why you want to spend a year of your life volunteering. Most of the questions were on the online application, so I had already prepared answers for them. I think I had a second interview where I had to read a passage aloud.

Interview
The online application seeks to weed out any poor applicants. If you pass this, you will receive a phone interview, then a face to face interview at the school where you're placed. Oh, and you'll also take a literacy screening test whilst on the phone to ensure you're fit to teach others to read.
