My interview process started in early October 2023. I was first asked to complete a simple video editing task for the head of marketing, then by the end of the month I was selected for an in person interview. The interview went well and I was told it was between me and one other person for the role. I was told the next step would be a call with the CEO and to wait for him to reach out to me. Well, that message was sent in the beginning of November and I have quite literally been playing email tag with them ever since, and have never heard anything else about next steps. The last email I got from the head of marketing was in January, and said that the role had not yet been filled and he wasn't even sure where it stood. It has been well over a month since I got that email and I have given up hope. Even if they are busy, this process was unorganized and strung me along for months. If the role does not exist anymore and they decided they don't need the position, that should be communicated. Especially when candidates took time to prepare a video editing project and attend an in person interview. Overall, I am just disappointed in how this was handled.
