Applied online and was contacted by a HR recruiter to set up a interview with quality manager. I called in to the meeting 5 minutes early and sat on the phone waiting for the manager. 10 minutes after our scheduled time, I was about to take a screenshot to send to the recruiter, when the manager finally answered.
He wanted me to tell him a little bit about myself, then proceeded to ask me about 10 STAR format questions. I don't think the interview went bad, and was told I will hear back from recruiter. Over a week later I still have heard nothing and emails go unanswered.
I was really looking forward to interviewing here, but the whole STAR format of interview is so outdated and overdone. Most people don't like being put on the spot especially with these "explain a time" scenario questions. I can see that being used for a retail job, but for a manufacturing position? I don't think so... Overall my perception of Milwaukee Tool has changed for the worse. At least have the courtesy to tell someone you went with other candidates.
