I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Miller & Carter in Oct 2024
Interview
Jesus Christ. I attended an “interview” which was just a clueless supervisor filling in a worksheet. She’d ask me a question then ask me to wait 10 minutes while she hand wrote my answer on the sheet. Asked me if I was interested in progression and seemed very excited when I said I was. I was immediately invited to work a “trial shift”. I worked the trial shift a few days after the interview which involved being put on the bar, untrained, and without guidance, for two hours unpaid. No one watched me work, no one supported me. They told me to guess the cocktails because I didn’t have a fob for the til. I literally just worked a two hour shift for them without pay. They then told me I could go, and I haven’t heard from then since. The most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life. I absolutely nailed that trial shift, and to have no contact is the biggest slap in the face. Avoid. Also the back rooms were disgusting and covered in genitalia doodles. If they had contacted me to offer me to job, I would’ve declined.
I interviewed at Miller & Carter (Manchester, England)
Interview
Really poor. Unknowledgeable member of staff just filling in a form. I had to wait 5 minutes after each question for her to hand write my response. Did an unpaid “trial shift” where I just worked on the bar alone for 3 hours then never heard from them again.

Interview
Applied online and invited to an in person interview. After which a trial shift was scheduled to meet the team and gain insight into job. Following this, an offer was made.
