My experience with Miele France's recruitment was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. After multiple interviews, including a lengthy final interview with the director, I was informed that I was the selected candidate and that the background check was the final step.
However, the process quickly fell apart. My current employer was contacted, creating unnecessary tension and anxiety. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, the Hiring Team completely ghosted me, leaving me in limbo for over two months. During this period, I had to repeatedly reassure my current employer that I was not leaving, which caused significant stress and damaged my professional reputation.
After months of silence, I received an automated email stating the position had been filled. In the end, out of the blue after several months I was informed by an HR representative in Belgium that the position had been filled. This communication came as a surprise, and the Belgian HR team claimed they were unaware of the delays and issues I had faced. This explanation felt disingenuous, as the entire process had been poorly managed, and I was left without proper closure. This lack of professionalism and communication is unacceptable. It not only wasted my time but also put my current job at risk.
I strongly advise caution if you're considering applying here. The lack of follow-through and respect for candidates is troubling and has left me with a very negative impression of the company.
