The interview process at Miaplaza was long, repetitive, and ultimately frustrating. It consisted of five rounds spread across nearly a month, during which I consistently performed at a high level:
HackerRank Round: I scored a perfect 100/100, which should have demonstrated my technical foundation.
Second Round : Focused on algorithms and refactoring—again, I performed exceptionally well.
Third Round : Surprisingly, I was asked algorithmic questions again, even though I had already proven my capability in that area. This round felt unstructured and redundant.
Despite the confusion in the third round, I believe I provided strong and relevant answers aligned with the role.
Final Round : A deep dive into software design, where I performed at a 100% level.
What’s most disappointing is that after all of this, I was rejected not because of technical shortcomings, but likely due to the feedback I shared about the interview process itself.
I provided polite, professional, and constructive feedback to the team, pointing out that the interview lacked focus on the actual technologies used in the role and instead repeated algorithm-heavy topics already covered. I didn’t criticize anyone—I simply highlighted that the evaluation criteria didn’t seem aligned with the job description.
Shortly after this feedback, I was rejected.
For a company that claims to value education, growth, and curiosity, this reaction to feedback is extremely disheartening. It sends a clear message: honest input isn’t welcome here.
I spent an entire month, performed exceptionally in all rounds, and was hopeful for a meaningful opportunity. But ultimately, this felt like a waste of time. If you're expecting a fair, transparent, and feedback-friendly hiring culture, I cannot recommend Miaplaza based on my experience.
