I spent over 6 hours in interviews. 2 in person and the last was via zoom with 6 team members that included some administrative supports. For an HR consulting company-practice what you preach. This interview was akin to a firing line. The lower level staff-that included very recent hires-made sure to try to impress with zingers. This was explained to me that it would be more about my asking questions and gauging my comfort level-and would be more of a conversation. I felt the types of questions being asked were more for their benefit and improving their standings on the teams. It had nothing to do with me. I had to follow up with HR constantly-and finally was told the position was already filled.
