I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team in Apr 2022
Interview
Send CV to Mercedes, then 2 weeks later I got invited to complete 3 online tests within 4 days (I am not from England, so not sure whether it otherwise would have been in person): a personality test, a sort of IQ test (verbal and abstract reasoning, math) and a technical test requiring very specific knowledge of the function (which is open book and lasts 20 min). The technical test was especially difficult, but I taught I did relatively well (it was also multiple choice). Then it took them very long to communicate to us the final decision on whether we were invited to an interview (I took the tests on march 5th, I just got my decision today April 12th). There were so many applications that they said they needed a lot of time for their decision. In the end, I passed the personality and IQ tests but they had found people with a higher technical score test unfortunately..
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Just very specific questions about how race strategy engineers would analyse the data during races, like how do the programs work that they use. Not really any coding questions in Python for example.
