I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Medline Industries in Dec 2009
Interview
I had a very brief phone interview with Medline. I was set-up with the Director of the recruiting department for my interview. He seemed very nice and the interview was relaxed. The interview consisted mostly of your standard behavioral questions. He started off by asking me to run through my resume for him and then went right into the behavioral questions. At the end of the interview I was asked to do a Wonderlic test. The interview overall was pretty average and was told that I would hear back in about a week. I never received any sort of return call, email, anything. I emailed the person I interviewed with and still never heard back. This very much soured my experience and perception of Medline, and perception of the type of people that work there.

Question 1
If you were to give me a reason why I wouldn't hire you, what would it be?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Medline Industries (Northfield, IL) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process consisted of 7 rounds spread over a couple of weeks. Each interviewer was professional and courteous, but the process became increasingly repetitive, especially after meeting with the same hiring manager twice and being asked similar behavioral questions multiple times. After more than five hours of interviews, I received only a generic rejection email with no feedback. For a non–entry level position, that lack of communication and closure was disappointing and not reflective of the level of professionalism I expected from a company of Medline’s size and reputation.
When a candidate commits to 7 rounds of interviews, receiving only a generic rejection feels dismissive and unprofessional. The time and effort I invested warranted at least a brief, thoughtful response or basic feedback. Providing that level of courtesy is a fundamental part of HR's role and would have reflected far better on the company.
