You are correct, there is a basic knowledge series of questions and paperwork that we have to provide to screen all candidates that we meet to match with our clients. This basic information may seem easier to fill out for some than others. The screening process helps us determine which of the clients, job types, skill types, etc that a candidate might be a fit with. We have a list of clients with specified needs, so candidates that arrive must fall into the right set of needs for the clients' job openings. Some candidates may find the screening process more difficult, because they may not have the same level of knowledge or experience as others. We treat all of those who come to us equally. All of the screening, tests, and paperwork gets you fully entered into the system, and helps us answer questions that our clients have. Giving the same test to all applicants in the beginning stages also helps us determine if you are a fit for any positions that you may not have thought of based upon your own answers. Although we are looking to fit candidates to a specific job they have applied for or finding the right candidate for a client, we also have the pleasure of being able to reach out to candidates with other openings based upon what we know about you. It is an awesome moment to be able to come back with an even better position sometimes! It can seem a little odd to answer the variety of questions that we ask if you are seeking a specific position, but we want to make sure that if that one doesn't work out, we can still try to place you elsewhere.
