Speaking with the boss and then HR representative. Boss was just ranting about how I'm worthless to him and how him and his children have achieved success and how good he is blah blah blah. 70 year old man who's full of himself. Claims he likes to teach young people like me but can't say I have learnt a whole lot. If you're a good looking young woman, congratulations you're his type, go for it. Otherwise, up to you but don't hold high hopes. The other reviews are likely true as well. You have been warned.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McQuilling Energy Brokerage Asia (Singapore) in Jul 2024

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at McQuilling Energy Brokerage Asia (Singapore) in Mar 2022
Interview
Supposed interview with the founder turned out to be a chit chat session with him. He asked basic interview questions like my previous job experiences and asked why I'd like to be a broker. He also asked me what I want in life, which I told him and he said that I don't have a clear goal (e.g., wanting to be a millionaire before 40 years old). Proceeded to flex about his and his children's achievements and how he'd make money regardless of whatever product he trades (kinda ironic considering he's a broker and not a trader who'd earn much more). I would not really call it an interview. In saying that, be clear and confident in answering his questions and you'd probably do fine.

Question 1
Why do you want to be a broker? What makes a good broker? What do you want in life? What are your goals? Describe your previous job experiences.
