I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Maurices (Mattoon, IL) in Oct 2015
Interview
The process took about 2 weeks. They call you in for the interview and you sit in the office with them. My interviewer was just a shift manager. It was really laid back with the basic questions and then a description of the job requirements afterwards. They told me that they had a few other interviews that week and if I didn't hear back by a certain point then it was because they filled the job .She said that they usually keep the applications on file if a position cannot be offered at the time

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Maurices (Stockton, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
It went well and fairly easy, though it was my first; the interviewer was really friendly and seemed more of a conversation than an interview. First, they called me for an interview after seeing my application and set up a day and time. When I first got there, I told them I was there for an interview and took me to the back of the store and did it there. The questions were about your availability, experiences (for me, it was volunteer work), and your strengths/weaknesses.

Question 1
Tell me about a positive interaction you had with someone, it doesn't have to be job-related, it can be personal/as a volunteer.
I got asked questions based on the latest styles of fashions and I got asked questions just about my goals and any problems that I have had reaching them. They asked me about my availability and my experience.

Question 1
What is my favorite fashion trend currently going around?
Pretty easy, very relaxed. They do ask what your favorite stores to shop at are. They also ask what your style is and how your style can contribute to the overall team.
