I applied online. I interviewed at Maurices (Duluth, MN)
Interview
I applied online and had to follow up by phone over two weeks later with the First Assistant. It was at that time she scheduled a time for me to interview in person. The interview felt comfortable and conversational. She told me their DM would get in touch with me about a second interview. When almost two more weeks has passed that I had heard nothing, I called to follow up with the store again. The First Assistant wasn't working that day so I left a message to never have my call returned again. Over a month into this and it appears the position has been filled with not so much as an auto-generated rejection email from the store.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Maurices (Salt Lake City, UT) in May 2025
Interview
Was very quick and questions were not difficult great for an entry level management job. Focused on basic leadership skills and customer service. You will have 2 interviews minimum starting with the general manager then the district manager.
Pretty simple. Brief conversation with store lead about past experience and current role expectations. Very laid back company and demands. Conversation did happen in person at the retail store itself in their back room.
Questions about deescalate situations, goals, experience, how to build teamwork etc. They also asked about role play situations regarding employees and leadership. Like how to handle a situation where an employee is not following standards or expectations
