It's not that the interview was hard, exactly. What WAS hard is that it was a series of many mini-interviews, each 20-30 min long. By the time we share pleasantries, a bit about their projects, and the usual basic questions, there was scant time for me to actually discuss my past experience and qualifications. And this happened over and over. Sometimes I tried to shoe-horn myself in there, but it was a challenging interview format to really build raport or share one's narrative beyond a sounds byte or two. It was a bummer, and it was hours-long, including lunch.
