There were three phases for recruiting procedures. The first stage was a brief and relaxing conversation, the second stage was about technical things and hiring manager asked several questions in the third stage.

Asked me to write a prototype for a simple algorithm in any programming language
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MathWorks in Oct 2016
Interview
It started off with a phone screening (15 minutes) which was more of a HR Round. Followed by a Hackerrank where you have to choose 2 sections out of 5 (Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, JavaScript). Followed by a phone interview.

Basic HR Questions such as Why MathWorks? CGPA? Past Experience?, etc.
Hackerrank Challenge:
Java (6 mcq's and 2 programming questions) - Sort HashMap by value and reversing words in a sentence.
C/C++ (6 mcqs and 2 programming questions) - initializing base class members from derived class through derived class constructor and Max Difference in an array.
1) HR interview : discussion about candidate profile (studies, former experiences, hobbies and expectations) and presentation of the company. 2) Technical interview: questions about MATLAB and control design automation. Choose among 3 topic : Maths/Deployment/Control Automation 3) manager interview
