      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Mastercard (Arlington, VA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

The first round interviews were conducted on my university campus. The interview was a standard length of 30-45 minutes. In the interview, they asked me to walk through my resume and then we dived into the technical portion. Within a day I was told I would move onto the second/final round. The final round interview consists of four, technical, 1-hour length interviews with a lunch break in between. Then followed by a tour of the headquarters in Arlington, VA. They do fly you out for the interview and house you in a lovely hotel in downtown DC and take you out for an amazing dinner + drinks in a fancy DC restaurant. Overall, the interview process is amazing. They are extremely well organized and friendly. I had a scheduling conflict for my interview, and they were more than accommodating when I wanted to change my date. The people at APT are the most professional and friendliest people I have ever interviewed with. I overall had an amazing experience interviewing with them and turning down the offer was difficult.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

During the interview, the recruiter would pull out their laptop, go to a random website and ask you how would you test the functionality of the website. For example, mine took me to weather.com and asked me what models would I use to predict the weather so the reporting is accurate. Also, she asked me how does the Amazon recommendation algorithm work.

      Software Quality Assurance Engineer Interview

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Mastercard in Aug 2021

      Interview

First-round was an online test where we had 45 mins to write test cases to two open-ended problems. One was an audio-video conferencing app and the other was a bi-lift system, wherein capacity and a few other rules were given. Then there were 2 rounds of interviews.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

In the first round of interviews, the interview asked about my projects, told me about test cases in them and my extracurriculars. Then he presented an infinite bread-making machine with a detailed diagram. This was the case study. The second round started off like an HR round, but the interviewer asked me to review a maps application, giving as many test cases as possible.
