I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MassMutual (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2009
Interview
Although a decision has yet to be made on their end, it seems they have no problem calling me in to meet new possible colleagues throughout the office. Nothing new arises, I come in, chat it up for an hour and then walk out. They are a very nice young group that I'd love to be a part of. When I first came in they did warn me it was going to be a long, drawn out process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The dreaded "where do you see yourself in 10 years" question was asked.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MassMutual (Austin, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
Recruiter reached out and only gave pros. When I dug deeper to get further detail he didn't know concrete info. Felt more like a desperate way to try to recruit due to a high turnover rate.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MassMutual in Oct 2025
Interview
I was referred by a recruiter to interview with a financial advisor for an in-office role. During the interview, several red flags came up. They asked about my citizenship, and when I said I am American, they implied that could not be true because of my last name. Later, after I mentioned that I speak another language, they said, “That’s great, we’ve been aiming to target that community,” which deeply disturbed me.
Pretty straight foward super friendly
Very nice went through behavioral questions a few technical and mainly talk about your background and why you’re a good role good fit. Overall, positive experience, super friendly showed enthusiasm.
