I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MassMutual in Aug 2018
Interview
Applied more than 2 months before hearing anything. Had written off the opportunity. Then received an email with request for phone screen the next day. When person called, she was difficult to understand and sounded as if she was calling from a call center. Very cold - not personable - and NOT a good representation of a top rated company. The few questions asked made it seem as if she had not read over my resume and had NO clue what the job was about, nor what my background was. So cold that I almost stopped the conversation to say this was not going to be a good fit. It wasn't until she got to the question around my salary requirement, and when I pushed back on what the range was for the opportunity, did I decide this was 100% not a company I would want to work for. Zero relocation for a manager level and a salary that would have been a 30% paycut to move to Boston where cost of living would be so much higher?! MassMutual needs to do a serious look at who they are using to screen candidates, and take a deeper dive in to salary benchmarking.
