      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Paris) in Oct 2014

      Interview

I applied through the school's career website and received a call a week later to set up the phone interview date and time. Ironically, I asked if they would send a confirmation email, they answered "no it's not in our process". The day of the phone interview, the HR specialist didn't call me. When I called back, her assistant said that she was caught in an urgent meeting and asked if we can reschedule for the next day. The next day, the same HR didn't call again. I call them back, land on her assistant's line and she claims that this is an inconvenient situation and I am unlucky (you can sense the level of professionalism here). She also asked to reschedule for the second time later that same day and I accepted. Finally, on our third trial, the HR manages to call. She barely apologizes, and immediately starts asking her questions (no introduction, nothing). She asked 4 standard questions, interrupted me twice, and then concluded with: "ok so here is what's going to happen. If I call you tomorrow before 10 am it means that you have passed on to the next step. If I don't call, it means that your application has terminated here". The whole interview took less than 10 minutes, and it felt like a joke! Mars' image was ruined for me because of the HR's lack of mannerism and professionalism (regardless of my seniority level). This is not the image of the reputed company that every wants to work for and it is a shame that they place people as such in the forefront.
