I first received the invitation for the position from HR via Linkedin and a greeting call. The next step was one more call with the HR manager who asked for more details about my resume and work experience. Then we moved on to a STAR interview in which they would ask you to prepare for a set of behavioral questions. It was the place where the Mariott HR showed a bit unprofessional that they messed up with their schedules and blamed me for not answering their email. Besides, there was another 30 minutes call with their hiring manager to discuss my technical background and experience. There were another 2-3 weeks wait after the first stage of STAR interview. On a Monday late afternoon, I suddenly received a call that the hiring manager would like to have another in-depth conversation on Tuesday morning. I have to say the timing was pretty weird as most companies should give 2-3 days' notice instead of less than 12 hours. I was later told that I should expect another 2-3 interviews including skill tests and a conversation with VP but never received any follow-up afterward. In short, the whole interview process is very lengthy and chaotic. It is kinda wired for their team decide to take so many meetings in each of the stages. There is no agenda or process shared with me about what they plan for the next step. I felt a bit offended as they don't seem to care about your schedule and just do whatever they want to do.
