Applied online, took assessment for company, spoke with HR representative, then was passed to GM and Area Manager. Spoke with all via phone before visiting property. Arranged for time to start and be introduced.

Interview
After applying online the manager looks through the applications. They can only see 5 external candidates at a time. If they are interested, they call for a quick background interview. Then I went through a phone screen. Next I interviewed with the General Manager. After a few weeks I also interviewed with the Regional Manager. It took about 2 weeks for them to get back with me and then I did the drug screen and background check.

They started with background questions and then asked situational questions about my past. For example: tell me about a time you made a mistake.

Interview
Since it was a promotion from a different hotel they didn't ask many questions. The main interviewer just explain the demands of the job and asked me to ask any questions I had.
