I am not the only shipbuilding professional with decades of industry experience to be turned off by the cadre of young, inexperienced women staffing the MMC HR department who give initial screening interviews. Instead of just screening for education, qualifications, literacy and experience, these people have been empowered to judge people's qualifications for positions that they know virtually nothing about. MMC is denying itself a substantial amount of high-echelon talent by using this process.
