There is no "interview process." They barely asked any questions then have you do a trial run. They give you an assignment to work on-- free labor. I did not receive any formal feedback. The paralegals quickly glanced over it and the lawyer said he did not have time, so he will check later. I was never contacted. Complete waste of time. I would also like to point out that I was asked if I went to a "special college" or a "special high school," which seems unnecessary and elitist to me. I graduated summa cum laude from my college and had an excellent GPA. Sorry, I did not go to a fancier college? Ridiculous.

Head associate called a few minutes after submitting my resume and cover letter. Ask very basic questions in regards to my prior work experience. Then, he scheduled what he referred to as a “tryout” for the next day, where I would go to the office for a period of three hours to work on an assignment. I arrived at the office and was immediately taken by the disorganization of the space - there were papers with confidential client information scattered everywhere. Furthermore, there was little privacy. The attorney did not even bother to close the door while he was interviewing me. The assignment was to draft a letter. I was done with the assignment after about an hour or so, but the attorney kept me for longer wanting me to make edits and also draft email correspondence for him. After staying for almost FOUR hours, I left and I knew that I had no desire to work at this firm. This was by far the most unprofessional interview experience I have EVER had.

Received phone call minutes after submitting my application, and was invited me to come in for an interview the next day. Like the previous review, upon arrival I was immediately surprised by the layout of the office. Not a typical law firm. Disorganized, papers everywhere and open concept - no privacy between everyone's desks. During my interview, the associate asked me if I was an alcoholic due to my prior experience bartending/serving. It was clear he had not reviewed my resume or prepared for the interview at all. He openly scoffed at my undergraduate degree program. The position was stated as Paralegal, but he was more or less seeking a personal assistant. He could not articulate what I would actually be doing, despite asking a few times what the job will entail. Just really unprofessional and a bad first impression overall - I knew right away I wasn't interested in working at this firm.
