I submitted my application for the Event Presentation Specialist role, and shortly after, the MLSE recruitment team reached out to schedule a 30-minute interview. When I joined the interview, the recruiter mentioned the role title and jumped straight into the questions. Throughout the conversation, I tried to navigate through the questions, but the experience felt a bit underwhelming. This made it harder to connect, work through my nerves, and truly let my experience in the event industry shine. The recruiter mentioned that they would get back to me in about a week regarding the next steps and whether I would move on to an interview with the hiring manager. I also learned that the final stage would include an in-person interview with an assignment.
