After a brief phone screen, I had a longer phone interview and eventually two on-site interviews. The interviewers were friendly and most of the questions were pretty low stress, but no one ever got back to me about a decision. I even sent an email a week after I was told a decision would be made and I still got no response. I get that it's a small company where everyone is really busy, but if I have to take a day off work to come interview on site, the least you can do is send me a generic rejection email so that I'm not left wondering.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Maker Media (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2014
Interview
Interviewed with 4 different employees across different departments. Questions ranged from business decisions, teamwork questions, understanding of retail industry, and overall cultural fit.
The interview was a multi day event depending on the schedules of the interviewer, and held either in person or on the phone (depending on location)
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Maker Media (Sebastopol, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
I first spoke with a woman who had been on the job one week. She was very enthusiastic about how my skills and background matched the position. I never heard anything from her, until she forwarded me a thanks, no thanks letter..which she had sent to the wrong email with my name misspelled.
