There is a written as well as oral exam for this job.The level of the exam is average to difficult.The exam is full of questions related to mining including questions from physics, mining field work and theory.

Questions like the quality of coal that is being used, and how to manage and react in the difficult situations like an accident and physical injury.They can also ask questions relating to firefighting, rescue and mines regulations.They could simply also ask Charles Law, Boyle's law etc.
