I applied online. I interviewed at Mahalo Soul in Nov 2023
Interview
After being excited about the opportunity and thinking that on paper the company and role sounded very inclusive and friendly I was disappointed to have an unpleasant interview experience. Was ignored by the founder when I first walked in. Had a strange and generally patronising discussion with her. I felt as if she thought I was wasting her time. I was told I would be sent a task to complete within the week in order to 'prove creativity'. I never heard anything back.

Interview
I travelled to central London on a train strike day (took me almost two hours due to this) and the interview lasted less than ten minutes. When I got to the office, they hadn’t set aside a place for us to sit so ended up on a random pouffe in the corner and the office, which was packed. I wasn’t even offered a glass of water or somewhere to put my coat. The owner had my CV in hand and was unfamiliar with its content, and had a cold nature. This was so disappointing as the role sounded like a fantastic opportunity. This was my first interview in a while so I was a bit nervous and no effort was made to make me feel at ease. After less than 10 minutes, of talking mostly about my current company, I was literally waved off and told I would hear back at the end of the week. Over a month later, I still haven’t had any feedback. Overall, the whole process was incredibly unprofessional and rushed.

Question 1
Why are you leaving your current company? (Wanted lots of unnecessary detail)

Interview
Started off really well, received really quick emails from the Founder with follow up questions to my application, then asking me to meet for a 'coffee'. I travelled to their office in the pouring rain, only for her to turn up 15 minutes late and be rather rude and brusque. We didn't have a coffee, we had a rather formal and intense interview. I answered all of her questions to the best of my ability and was told I would hear back by the end of the week. It's been 3 months and I've not heard a word despite emailing twice to ask for feedback. Complete lack of respect for my time.
