Pros: Quick communication from HR representative and she was willing to work quickly with me as I had another job offer.
Cons: Had three total interviews. First interview was standard screening interview by HR and Marketing. Interviewers did not know much about the position and were able to offer little insight into position.
Second interview was less than 15 minutes long. Interview was with same marketing employee and new unrelated department head. Same questions were asked as before by new individual, no tour was offered and no direct graphic artist related position information was provided (or could be provided) yet again. An assignment to complete was given less than 24hrs before the final interview with no description or project statement.
Final interview was panel style with CMO, Art Director, and Senior Manager. Presented my work and discussed the position, my questions were answered, the position was actually described this time and a brief walkthrough of the work area was provided. This was the best part of the interview process.
Finally an offer was sent via email with a followup by HR via text message. I sent a counter offer by email with an explanation of additional value. I was looking for slightly more to be able to afford added cost of living in CA and then THE OFFER WAS WITHDRAWN. Magnaflow is an extremely unprofessionally run business where the executives are only concerned with selling a "brand" and not quality parts and components. Only one of the employees I spoke with had any form of automotive background and he was the only one who had any questions about mine. Digital correspondence between all parties involved was unprofessional as well. All corporate applicants should be very weary of this company when applying and interviewing.
