The dir of HR called to pre-screen my qualifications; great personality, kind and efficient. She then setup a meeting with hiring managers shortly. I was invited to (2) in-person interviews. Two of the team members I met were friendly, candid and knowledgeable about the position requirements, issues they were facing in that department and the need to fill the position immediately. They spoke very candidly about the team members, both positive and negative. Some of the information provided was a bit telling; they have no control over that department & their staff was afraid to communicate with their management. I was also able to meet a leadership member & felt his interview approach was abrasive & rude; he would not allow me to finish a sentence before interrupting me. I think smaller companies forget that candidates are also interviewing them, its not a one sided relationship. Based on the feedback, I have read on Glassdoor on how they treat their employees, my own analysis of the interviews, and how these team members talked poorly about their employees work, I safely dodged a bullet.
